Birding

The area around Tanhau, and the entire Corbett landscape, is great for birding. There is a huge diversity of birds across different areas of Corbett, dependent on the landscape, water availability and altitude. While winter is overall the season for birding, there is plenty to be seen in other seasons as well.

While you can get a lot of birding action within the property itself, we are happy to take you on walks around as well in search of more. This is best done either early morning or early evening.

For more serious birders, we can organise half-day or full-day birding excursions to either target specific species of birds or for more variety - these are chargeable and as per the itinerary/ area selected. If planned in advance, we can organise for a birding focused naturalist to accompany you, to maximise your chances.
